Restore Purchases

Recover your VikiViki Plus subscription on a new device or after reinstall

1. When to Use Restore Purchases

Use the Restore Purchases feature in the following situations:

  • You reinstalled the VikiViki app and lost your VikiViki Plus benefits.
  • You signed in to VikiViki on a new device.
  • You factory-reset your device.
  • You logged out and back in to your account.

Restore Purchases re-syncs your existing subscription / non-consumable purchases from the platform store (Apple App Store or Google Play). You will not be charged again.

2. Where to Find the Restore Button

The Restore button is located on the VikiViki Plus subscription page inside the app:

  1. Open the VikiViki app.
  2. Tap the VIP icon (or navigate to Profile → VIP).
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the VIP page.
  4. Tap Restore in the row that reads: Terms | Restore | Manage | Privacy

The app will then contact the platform store to look up purchases tied to the same Apple ID / Google account currently signed in on the device, and re-grant the corresponding VikiViki Plus benefits.

3. Important Requirements

  • Same store account: You must be signed in to the device with the same Apple ID (iOS) or Google account (Android) that originally made the purchase. Subscriptions are tied to your store account, not your VikiViki account.
  • Active subscription: If your subscription has already expired or been refunded, Restore will report no active purchases. In that case the subscription must be re-purchased.
  • Internet connection: Restore requires an internet connection to verify the purchase with the platform store and our servers.

4. What Happens After Restore Succeeds

Once Restore succeeds:

  • Your VikiViki Plus benefits are re-activated within seconds.
  • The renewal date and current period match what is on file at the platform store.
  • No additional charge is made.

5. If Restore Fails

If Restore reports no purchases, please verify the following before contacting support:

  1. Confirm you are signed in to the same Apple ID / Google account used to purchase.
  2. Check the platform store directly:
  3. Confirm the subscription is currently active (not expired or refunded).
  4. Try restarting the app.
  5. If the subscription is active on the platform but Restore still fails, email support@vikiviki.cc with:
    • Your VikiViki account email.
    • Apple ID email or Google account (last 4 characters of the email is fine).
    • Approximate purchase date.
    • Order ID, if available (Apple: Settings → Subscriptions; Google: Play → Subscriptions).

6. Why Apple / Google Require This Feature

Apple App Review Guideline 3.1.1 and equivalent Google Play policies require that all apps with non-consumable IAP or auto-renewing subscriptions provide an explicit user-initiated "Restore Purchases" mechanism, so users do not lose access they already paid for when they switch devices or reinstall.
